Connected to the library, current

Placed through the add-in and still matching the library version. This is the number the standard exists to grow.

Drifted from the library version

Correct when it was placed; the library object has changed since. A coordination pass, not a rebuild — and invisible in every other workflow.

Broken library reference

The source object no longer exists in the library. Better found in design than by procurement.

Not connected to the library

Model elements with no link to the organization's standard at all — the gap between the standard on paper and the standard in the model.

Where the data comes from

Your designers' own tools

This is the part that makes the numbers trustworthy: they are not reported by anyone, they are produced by the act of placing an object.

The add-in does the placing
The Bimmatch add-in for Revit — with Plant 3D and Civil 3D in the same family — puts approved objects into the model from inside the designer's own tool.
Data travels with the geometry
Each placement carries the organization's product and material data into the element, so it comes back attached when the model is published.
No parallel tracking
No forms, no tagging, no QA export, no spreadsheet anyone has to keep current — which is the only reason the numbers stay honest.

What changes for the organization

A standard you can measure

Most organizations publish a BIM standard and then have no instrument to tell whether it was followed. This turns “we have a library” into a number that moves when behaviour changes.

Measured from the designers' own work

Nothing is self-reported, so nothing has to be trusted or chased. The data is a by-product of normal work in Revit, Plant 3D and Civil 3D.

Drift is visible before it becomes rework

An object correct when placed and since changed in the library is invisible everywhere else. Here it's a slice of the ring — found in a review, not on site.

Dead references surface early

Elements pointing at objects that no longer exist in the library are flagged while the model is still being designed.

One number for a rollout

Adoption of an organizational standard usually gets argued about. The share of the model connected to the library, tracked across publishes, settles it.

No extra work for the design team

The measurement exists because the placement happened through the add-in. Ask the team for nothing and the reporting still arrives.

Coordination scoped to what needs attention

Instead of reviewing everything, a coordinator works down the ring: drifted objects first, then broken references, then the unconnected remainder.
